The sea here is not the flat Mediterranean you might picture, and jellyfish do turn up in warm spells, though they come and go with the currents rather than sitting there all summer. If the flag is red, treat it as a sunbathing day.

Agva doesn't really do beach. The draw is the two rivers, Yeşilçay and Göksu, where you can rent a rowboat or sit at a riverside restaurant with grilled fish and a cold drink. It's the better choice if the point of the trip is to get out of the city noise rather than to swim. Families with small children often prefer the calm river edge to Şile's waves.
